Goa 21^st May:- V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), one of the leading institutes of hospitality education in India, announces opening of admissions for the coming academic year 2019 – 20 for students who opt for a career in the field of hospitality.

Affiliated to the Goa University and supported by the Marriott Group, VMSIIHE offers a B.Sc. in International Hospitality Management. The institute has an existing collaboration with Turismo de Portugal resulting from am MoU signed between the two countries, in the presence of Antonio Costa, Prime Minister of Portugal during his visit to Goa. Students keen to embark on an international education related adventure are offered an opportunity to visit Portugal as a part of the exchange program. The institute offers an option for higher studies in Switzerland.

Students who have graduated have received placements in leading hotels and resorts across the globe including Blue & Green Portugal, Taj Fort Aguada, Goa Double Tree Hilton in Dubai, Grange Hotels in UK, Shangri-La, Bangalore, Oberoi, Mumbai, Jw Marriott Le Marquis, Dubai, Taj Corel Reef Resort & Spa, Maldives to name a few.

The three-year full-time program at VMSIIHE is designed to equip the students with practical training and necessary skills, with special attention to personality development, professional attitude and leadership qualities, which are requisite to be a global manager of repute.

Spread over 6 acres in Raia, the campus is the perfect place for students to learn and be nurtured as hotel management professionals and hospitality leaders of the future.

The well designed campus boasts of a fully functional 5-star training hotel on campus, with a grand lobby area and reception, well-appointed guestrooms, a restaurant, kitchen area and banqueting facilities. The program provides participants with a profound exposure to various facets of the industry, departmental processes related to food & beverage planning, showmanship, front office and housekeeping practices, human resource management and food production operations. It also offers them a leadership programme which inculcates a professional attitude in a holistic learning environment. The course curriculum includes academic learning, practical sessions, an exchange program to Portugal, a visit to Switzerland and professional internships at starred hotels in India and abroad as well as 100% Placements.

Students who have appeared and passed the Class XII board exam in Arts/Commerce/Science/Vocational stream can walk-in for the entrance test at the Institute on any working day from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Candidates admitted on or before 31st May, 2019 can avail of the Early Bird offer on tuition fee for all three years at the institute.
