Chandigarh 05^th May:- जहां अभिमान होता है वहां भगवान नही होते हैं। इंद्र को अभिमान तोडने के लिए ही उन्होंने गिरिराज पूजन करवाया। यह प्रवचन सेक्टर 37 सी स्थित भगवान परशुराम भवन  में आयोजित श्रीमद्भागवत कथा ज्ञान महायज्ञ के दौरान कथा व्यास आचार्य कैलाश प्रसाद ने श्रद्धालुओं को दिये। उन्होंने श्रद्धालुओं को श्री गोवर्धन लीला का प्रसंग भी उन्होंने सुनाया और उसी परम्परा के अनुसार कथा स्थल पर गिरिराज पूजन हुआ। भगवान गोवर्धन का अभिषेक विधि विधान के साथ किया गया और उन्हें छप्पन प्रकार के व्यंजनों का भोग लगाया। भजन गायक सतीश सिलमाना ने सुंदर भजन गाये जिसे सुन कर श्रद्धालु मंत्र मुग्ध हो गये। 

इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर चंडीगढ़ के पूर्व सांसद पवन कुमार बंसल ने मंदिर परिसर में अपनी हाजिरी दर्ज करवाई। इस दौरान उनके साथ उनकी पत्नी मधु बंसल, प्रदीप छाबड़ा, मंदिर के पुजारी पं.देवी प्रसाद पैन्यूली, भजन गायक सतीश सिलमाना, मंडप आचार्य राजेन्द्र प्रसाद, भगत राम पैन्यूली, संजय शास्त्री, पं. ओम प्रकाश शास्त्री, पं. कांर्तिका प्रसाद, राजरानी, सुरदर्शन वासुदेव भी उपस्थित थे। इस दौरान पूर्व सांसद श्री पवन कुमार बंसल ने जगत्गुरू शंकराचार्य के परम् शिष्य बह्मचारी स्वामी निजानंद जी महाराज जी का आर्शीवाद भी प्राप्त किया।

उन्होंने श्रद्धालुओं को बताया कि भगवान की करूणा में कमी नही है, कमी है तो हमारी पात्रता में। एक मात्र भगवान का चिंतन ही है जो हमारे बड़े से बड़ा व बिगड़े से बिगडा काम सुधार जाता है। कथा व्यास आचार्य कैलाश प्रसाद ने और भगवान को छप्पन प्रकार के व्यंजनों का भोग लगाया। उन्होंने कथा में कालिया नाग की उद्धार कथा, इंद्र के अभिमान को खत्म करने के लिए भगवान ने अपनी कनिष्ठका उंगली के नाखून पर गोवर्धन पर्वत का उठाने की कथा, महारास लीला की कथा, भगवान का गुरूकु ल प्रवेश व कथा का श्रवण करवाया। उन्होंने बताया कि भगवान उस व्यक्ति को धारण करते हैं जिसके अंदर छल कपट द्वेष भाव, पाखंड न हो जो अंदर से बिल्कुल खाली हो। 

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जन्मोत्सव बड़ी श्रद्धापूर्वक मनाया: भगवान परशुराम भवन  में आयोजित श्रीमद्भागवत कथा ज्ञान महायज्ञ के दौरान आज यहां भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जन्मोत्सव बड़ी श्रद्धापूर्वक मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर एक ओर जहां श्रद्धालुओं ने भगवान के जन्म पर एक दूसरे को बधाई दी वहीं दूसरी ओर श्रद्धालुओं के जयकारों से मंदिर परिसर गूंजमयी हो गया और श्रद्धालुओं ने खुशी में खूब नृत्य,कीर्तन किया। इस अवसर आयोजकों द्वारा भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की सुंदर झाकियां भी प्रस्तुत की। जिसमें वासुदेव बने प्रकाश चंद्र रतूडी ने सिर पर टोकरी में बाल कृष्ण को उठाया हुआ था।  श्रद्धालुओं ने इस दौरान श्रद्धालुओं को तांता बाल कृष्ण बने नन्हें बालक को देखने के लिए लगा रहा। बाल कृष्ण बने नन्हें बालक पर श्रद्धालुओं ने पुष्प वर्षा की। और भगवान के जयकारे लगाये। कार्यक्रम के अंत में भव्य आरती की गई और सभी श्रद्धालुओं को  प्रसाद स्वरूप मिश्री माखन, टॉफियां और बिस्कु ट वितरित किया गया।

‘Aaba’ a Short Film Produced by City Educationist & Film Enthusiast Wins National Award

Chandigarh 05^th May:- ‘Aaba’ a short film Produced by Mitul Dikshit who is a well known Educationist & Film Enthusiast of city, has received the country’s highest film award the National Film Award for the Best Short Fiction Film at the recently concluded 64th National Film Award at capital New Delhi.

It was a moment of pride for tricity when "Aaba", which has been produced by Mitul Dikshit along with acclaimed filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta, of No One Killed Jessica, Aamir and Ghanchakkar fame, and directed by Amar Kaushik won the Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Short Fiction Film at prestigious Awards Function this year.

The award bestows a cash award for Rs. 50,000 /- each for Producer and Director. The citation by the I&B ministry praises this cinematic gem which got a standing ovation at Berlinale 2017 as “Cinematic excellence comes to life in this intimate story where the filmmaker shows that silence can also be used as a powerful language of expression.”

Mitul Dikshit, on this occasion said that he produced this film with Raj Kumar Gupta after reading the script. The appreciation this film is getting Internationally and now by winning the biggest award in the country shows the potential the story and the story telling of the young director Amar Kaushik . Winning this National Award is a proud moment for tricity as he comes from here and is a sign of its strengths & its spirit of pursuing excellence in all spheres.

Commenting on the success of the short film, Raj Kumar Gupta, the producer of the film said that winning a National award certainly feels special. Amar has been my associate for a long time, when he narrated him this script he was really moved and he decided to produce it along with his friend Mitul Dikshit, congratulations to each and every team member who made this film happen.

The story is about a girl who lives alone with her grandparents up in the highlands of Arunachal Pradesh. After her grandfather is diagnosed with lung cancer, she watches as he calmly digs his own grave, furnishing it for his comfort in the hereafter with a handful of his worldly possessions. His light-hearted approach to dying is a gentle and laconic acknowledgement of the natural cycle of life and death. But things don’t always go as planned in the land of the living.

The film previously won International prize for Best Short film in the Generation K Plus Category at Berlinale 2017 and has then onwards been in high demand at the film festivals across the globe. Till now, the film has won awards at Indian Film Festival, LA, (IFFLA), Aspen Film Shortsfest which is an Oscar qualifying festival .The film has been shortlisted for New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) and also some of the most prestigious International film festivals across the globe.

Coca-Cola Launches ‘Elevator’ Commercial with Diljit Dosanjh

Chandigarh 05^th May:- Coca-Cola India today, launched the ‘Elevator’ commercial with Diljit Dosanjh with a vibrant Punjabi flavour. The ad is a compelling follow-up to the “elevator” themed ad with Deepika Padukone under “Taste the Feeling” campaign which highlights the role of Coke in setting off camaraderie between a celeb and their fan. The previously-launched ad in the series has managed to garner more than 25 million views on digital channels till now.

The narrative opens with Diljit being followed by photographers outside a hotel. To escape, Diljit quickly rushes into an elevator and notices a housekeeping attendant with a service trolley inside the elevator. Suddenly there is a glitch and the elevator stops in between the floors. To lighten up the environment, the housekeeper offers a chilled bottle of Coca-Cola to Diljit. Diljit looks pleased with the gesture. He really needed a Coca-Cola right now. This is followed by great camaraderie and cheerful dancing by the two. The popular Punjabi music in the story lifts the feeling and adds to the entertainment quotient. Coke is at the centre of the advertisement which is designed to spread the message of breaking social barriers to foster a strong connect with each other and the carefree spirit within us.

The campaign will be launched on digital platforms with the exciting teasers featuring Diljit Dosanjh, followed by a pilot run of the on-ground consumer engagement activities leveraging augmented reality. The consumers may also get a chance to meet Diljit by participating in many contests and activities that the company is planning to organize.

Universal Broadcasting Group Announces “Sky Riders” and “Muskan International Movies” Two New Production Houses: Sky Riders and Muskan International Movies Will Make Hindi and Punjabi films

Chandigarh 05^th May:- Two more new production houses are going to be entering soon into the film industry. English, Hindi (Bollywood) and South Indian films Financier, Producer & Distributor Harry Gills going to start these production houses. This production houses was announced today by Harry Gills during a press conference at JW Marriott Hotel in Sector 35. The two new production houses are Sky Riders and Muskan International Movies.

While interacting with media, Harry Gills said that two Hindi films will be produced under the production house of Muskan International Movies. The first film is "Girlfriends versus Boyfriend" and second film will be according to the International Project and Bible, "Angel Day". In the Lead Roll probably to be R Madhavan and Kangna Runout get finalize.

Harry Gills further said that in the same way, Punjabi films will be produced under the banner of Sky Riders Production House. Under which the first film is "Orchestra" which is the story of three girls based on women's empowerment, in which Drishti Grewal will be in the lead role. Apart from this, there are two other films named “Ghaint Family” and “Gurmukh”.

According to Harry Gills, two highly ambitious projects of the group will also be started soon; the first is South Indian movie "The Raja's". In which he plans to take south Indian super star Rajinikanth as a lead role. But nothing has been finalized yet. The cost of the film will be approximately Rs 400 crore and another film will be "Thanks". He plans to take International star Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolly in the film, but deal yet to be got materialize. The cost of the film approximately will be Rs 1,200 crore.

He said that Hindi film "Delhiwale" will also be on the floor soon, which will start its shooting in 2018. Heart throb Ranbir Kapoor is the first choice for the lead role. But Ranbir Kapoor yet to be contacted. Mayank Mishra directed Hindi film "Mai Pakistan nhi jana chahta" also in the pipeline.

On this occasion Harry Gills clearly mentioned that group wants that more and more chance has to be given the Theater Artist. Group is always ready to start a film with those artists. He also mentioned that if talking about all that Hindi Films& International projects, soon the things will get materializes.

He said that Universal Broadcasting Group started in 2004 with finance in films in South India. After this, group enters into the work of film distribution at international level. The group has tie up with 2500 international and Indian 1200 theaters. In the year 2013, the group also started production.

Short Film Based on Female Foeticide Bags Best Film Award

Chandigarh 04^th May:- The short film titled ‘ MAAR DEO’ showcasing the menace of female foeticide was declared  ‘Best Film’ and in International Short Film Festival and Iron Man Awards-2017 here today. In a glittering ceremony, the film was also honoured with a prize of Rs. 50000. The film depicts a poignant picture of the deteriorating sex ratio in Punjab and the attitude of society towards girl child.

The Producer and Director of the film, Sanjiv Uppal disclosed that it is based on a true story and brings to the fore true picture of contemporary societal conditions. He also said that while highlighting the crime of female foeticide, the film exhorts the people to change their mindset with the ever changing times and rise against this evil so as to completely eradicate such blots on the name of humanity. He also said that in any profession in modern era the females are carving out a niche for themselves far ahead of their male counterparts.

Divulging more, Sanjiv Uppal said that he has launched his daughter Komal through the film which was his dream. He further elaborated that on examining the character played by his daughter and its dilemma, the thought pervades through his mind that almighty has planted the idea of this film in his mind by bestowing on him a marvelous gift in the form of a daughter. He further detailed that the shocking figures of sex ratio pertaining to Punjab make one think the same state which feeds the bellies of entire nation, doesn’t thinks twice before killing female child even before she sees the world. He said that this reality cannot be ignored.   

The filmmaker also said that various famous artists from Punjabi film industry have played their parts exceptionally well in the film namely Rajesh Sharma, Gurpreet Kaur Bhangoo, Malkeet Raouni, Teji Gill, Ramneet Sandhu, Sukhwinder Kaur, Baljeet Balli, Devinder Virk and Sanjeev Attri. The story has been written by Surmeet Mavi and camera lighting has been wonderfully done by Sanjiv Chauhan. He also thanked K.L. Sehgal memorial and Brown & Hopper (U.K.) company which gave the Best Film award to this film besides the all unit members without whose untiring efforts this film couldn’t have seen the light of the day.

NGO ‘Cubs Club’ organizes ‘Pass it on’’- to Sensitise Privileged School Kids

Chandigarh 04^th May:- ‘Pass it on’ – A unique initiative by ‘Cubs Club’–An NGO committed to social change through the power of giving, & which has as its members working women & their children, was held at Press Club here. Ms. Meenu Prashar, Founder & Convener, Cubs Club interacted with media along-with privileged school children from St Soldiers School, Sec 16, Panchkula & DAV Model School, Sec15, Chandigarh. It’s noteworthy that school children of these two schools had participated in the philanthropic activity ‘Pass It On’. Under ‘Pass It On’ three different groups of privileged students helped three separate groups of underprivileged kids. The privileged school children collected items of daily use & necessity in form of used stationary, books, school bags, pencil boxes, pouches, clothing etc which were donated directly to the needy children.

Meenu Prashar said that the activity saw participation of young students. During this children of various schools in tricity were asked to get involved in an act of kindness. As we at the Club feel that we don’t make children happy when we simply enable them to be receivers of kindness. The initiative taught privileged children the value of sharing and true meaning of happiness.

Cubs Club children visited a Primary School in Village Togan near Chandigarh. The School has strength of almost 150 students mostly coming from labor class. Club members went there with gifts (Old and New) along with some refreshments. This little help brought smile to innocent needy kids. Club helped them with few school supplies. 

St Soldiers School, Sec 16, Panchkula in their part of the activity visited slum kids in Sec 8 Panchkula. There was around 20 kids with whom students shared their old stuff as a part of Pass it on activity.

Deepali Jain from St Soldiers School, Panchkula, said that we learnt a lot during our visit. We gave our less privileged friends things of art, pens, copies, pencils etc. It was very sad to know that some of these hardworking kids were finding it difficult to pay school fess too. The initiative helped us develop empathy towards our underprivileged brothers & sisters.

DAV Model School, Sec 15, Chandigarh students went to a Primary School in Khuda Ali Sher- They went there with Fresh stock of Registers, pencils and few refreshments. Students had collected old bottles and Tiffin boxes to give to their less privileged friends.  Zoravar Singh a Student of DAV Model School, Sec 15, Chandigarh, said that the conditions in which these underprivileged children were studying were quite disconcerting. We saw lack of basic amenities like benches and desks & this made us realize how privileged we were.  After this activity we want to give a message that one should always strive to extend a helping hand for the not so fortunate in society.

Cubs Club has maintained its tradition of imparting values to its little members & children from privileged backgrounds so as to create a world that our generation dreams of, a society where there is equality & happiness is derived from giving. ‘Pass It On’ was an embodiment of this value system of Cubs Club.

Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association to organize Blood Donation Camp for Thalassaemia Patients

Chandigarh will be organizing 163^rd Blood Donation Camp in Zakir Hall, Block–A, PGI Chandigarh on Saturday 06^th May, 2017. This camp will be inaugurated by Director PGI. Voluntary blood donors/social organizations are requested to participate/donate blood to save the lives of thalassaemics and other needy patients.

Chandigarh 04^th May:- ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੈਰਾਗਾਨ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਸੈਕਟਰ-71 ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ 'ਚ ਪੈਦੀਆਂ ਸਬ ਡਿਵੀਜਨਾਂ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ, ਖਰੜ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਰਾਬਸੀ ਵਿਖੇ  ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ, ਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 09 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ 231 ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੀ ਅਵੇਤਨੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜਨਰਲ) ਜਸਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 8 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਪੈਰਾਗਾਨ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਖ਼ਸੀਅਤਾਂ, ਖੂਨਦਾਨੀਆਂ  ਅਤੇ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ , ਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਜ਼ੀਸਨਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪੈਟਰਨ , ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ। 

ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜਨਰਲ) ਜਸਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ, ਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਤੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਸਕੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੈਡ  ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਰਾਜ ਮਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੈਰਾਗਾਨ ਸਕੂਲ ਸੈਕਟਰ 71 ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਰੂਣ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਪੇਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਫਸਰ   ਸੁਖਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ,  ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। 

Team of Upcoming Punjabi Film “Arjan” Visit Chandigarh for Promotion

Chandigarh 04^th May:- A Packet full of Love, emotions & drama will be available in upcoming Punjabi movie “Arjan”, this film brings out the best of performances in the Punjab film industry. Real World Entertainment is ready to release their maiden Punjabi film “Arjan” on 5^th of May, 2017 which stars renowned singer & actor Roshan Prince, Prachi Tehlan, a national level basketballer, Hobby Dhaliwal, Shivender Mahal, Niraml Rishi, Baninderjit Singh, BN Sharma, Rupinder Kaur, Deep Mandeep Kaur, Jarnail Singh, Jaswinder Makrauna, Nihal Purba, Deepali Arora, Karanveer Kaur. The film is directed by Manduip Singh, who has previously directed Just U & Me & Punjabian Da King.

The team of the film was in town today for its promotions and to talk about it. Manduip Singh, the Director has written the story also, along with Nihal Purba who in association with him has penned down the screenplay and dialogues of the film.

Manduip Singh, Director said that we can’t reveal much about the story at the moment but the film is surely going to make a mark. He believes film-making is the greatest art and there is an unlimited scope of experiment and innovation, so he is ready and confident to be the director of this movie.

Rajesh Bhatt, Creative Producer added that this is his first punjabi movie and he is very happy to be associated with this project & looking forward for something good in Punjabi cinema.

Puneet Chopra, the Producer said that he is very enthusiastic and happy to work with this wonderful team & is relying on the talent of the whole team and is confident of getting success.

Prachi Tehlan, the lead actress, also added that he has been playing basketball on a national level and had lil interest in this tinsel town but now very happy to start him movie career with this movie as this being him debut, he is looking forward to mark his presence in the Punjabi movie industry.

Music is composed by Jassi Katyal & Gurcharan Singh. The lyrics are by Happy Raikoti, Sanjay Glory, Simranjit Singh Hundal, Dalbir Sarobad. Singers like Roshan Prince, Nooran Sisters, Prabh Gill & Nimrat Khaira have lent their melodious and soulful voices to the songs.
