ठेकेदार और जी एम् जालंधर की मिलीभगत से फिल्लौर में हो रही है अवैध माइनिंग: गुरजीत सिंह

Chandigarh 04^th May:- पंजाब में अवैध खनन रोकने के कांग्रेस सरकार द्वारा किए गए सभी वादे व् दावे खोखले हैं। राज्य भर में अवैध माइनिंग बुरी तरह से चल रही है। खनन माफिया को इसमें जिला प्रशासन का पूरा सहयोग मिल रहा है। कपूरथला निवासी गुरजीत सिंह ने कहा कि राज्य में अवैध खनन कार्य अभी भी जोरों शोरों से चल रहा है।

चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब में गुरजीत सिंह ने संवाददाताओं से बातचीत करते हुए कहा की इसका उदाहरण इससे लगाया जा सकता है कि जिला जालंधर की तहसील फिल्लौर के गाँव गग ढगारा की खदान में ठेकेदार सलविंदर सिंह लगभग 90 प्रतिशत माइनिंग गाँव बुर्ज ढगारा की अनधिकृत क्षेत्र में पोपलेन मशीनों द्वारा अवैध माइनिंग कर रहा है।  उन्होंने आगे बताया की वर्ष 2012 की नीलामी के समय में सरकार की ओर से इस गड्ढे का रकबा 70 एकड़ था, लेकिन वर्ष 2015 के रिवर्स बिडिंग के समय 20 एकड़ क्षेत्र इसमें से निकाल दिया गया था और 50 एकड़ के गड्ढे की नीलामी कर दी गयी।

यहां उल्लेख करना उचित है कि पर्यावरण मंजूरी की शर्तों के अनुसार, 62 एकड़ से कम खदान में किसी भी तरह की मशीन की इजाज़त नही है और 62 एकड़ से ज्यादा में भी इकलौती जे सी बी (एग्जावेटर) की ही इज़ाज़त है। पॉपलेन मशीन(चैन माउंटेड) की भी किसी को इज़ाज़त नही है। लेकिन ठेकेदार सलविंदर सिंह और जिला जालंधर के जी एम अमरजीत सिंह की आपसी मिलीभगत से डिप्टी कमिश्नर जालंधर, एस एस पी- देहाती जालंधर और कुमार राहुल डायरेक्टर माइनिंग को अंधेरे में रख कर 2012 की नीलामी वाला 70 एकड़ वाला माइनिंग प्लान दिखा कर गग ढगारा में 10-12 पोपलेन मशीन लगा कर अवैध माइनिंग कर रहा है।

गुरजीत सिंह ने कहा कि यही नही बल्कि जालंधर जी एम अमरजीत सिंह अपनी चालबाज़ी से ठेकेदार सलविंदर सिंह को निर्धारित मूल्य से 4 गुना अधिक मूल्य प्राप्त करने में भी मदद कर रहा है। जिला जालंधर का खड गग ढगारा रिवर्स बिडिंग वाली खड्ड है। जिस में  ठेकेदार का सरकार की तरफ से आधिकारिक रेट 119 रुपये प्रति टन यानी 476 से 500 रुपये प्रति सैंकड़ा है। लेकिन वर्तमान ठेकेदार जीएम अमरजीत सिंह की मदद से 1700 रुपये प्रति सैंकड़ा (425 रुपये प्रति टन) वसूल रहा है। इस अवैध खनन के साथ, लगभग 300-350 टिपर्स और 200-250 ट्रॉली भरी जा रही हैं। जिससे सरकार को हर रोज 70-80 लाख रुपये रेवेन्यू का नुकसान हो रहा है। पर्यावरण निकासी संहिता का उल्लंघन करते हुए पॉप लेन मशीनों को चलाने और सरकारी रेट से ज्यादा मूल्य वसूल करने में अमरजीत सिंह की तरफ से पूरी पूरी मदद की जा रही है। जिसका ऑडियो प्रूफ जीएम जालंधर के साथ उनकी फोन पर हुयी वार्तालाप है। उन्होंने बताया कि खड्ड में चल रही पॉप लेन मशीनों की वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग भी उनके पास है। उनकी ऒर से अपने खुद के स्तर पर ट्राली भरवाने के समय और उनसे 04 सैकड़ों के लिए लिए गए 6200 रुपये की वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग भी उनके पास है।

गुरजीत सिंह ने कहा कि ऐसा लगता है कि इतने युद्ध स्तर पर रेत के अवैध खनन के पीछे जीएम जालंधर अमरजीत सिंह की ठेकेदार सल्विंदर सिंह के साथ खड्ड गग दगारा में हिस्सेदारी हैं या फिर जी एम जालंधर रिश्वत के रूप में रोजाना 2 लाख रुपये वसूलता है।

गुरुजीत सिंह ने मांग की कि इस अवैध खनन के व्यवसाय बंद किया जाए और इस मामले में किसी अन्य राज्य के उच्च अधिकारी या फिर केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) से जांच करवाई जाए नही तो मजबूरन उन्हें माननीय हाई कोर्ट का सहारा लेना पड़ेगा।

 वहीँ जब इस बारे में जी एम् -जालंधर अमरजीत सिंह से बारे में बात की गयी तो उन्होंने गुरजीत सिंह के सभी आरोपों को बेबुनियाद व् निराधार बताया उन्होंने कहा कि उसकी बातों में रती भर भी सच्चाई नहीं है । जब उनसे गुरजीत सिंह द्वारा मीडिया में पेश किये वॉयस व् वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग के प्रूफ के बारे में पूछा गया तो उन्होंने फ़ोन ही काट दिया।

Circus manager Alankeshver Bhaskar and Sunil Goyal alias Billa said that the people of Chandigarh and surrounding areas are always crazy for the circus. We have always received good response from the peoples of here. Every time we bring something new in the circus, and this time too we brings something different. We hope people would definitely like. This time we specially bring Ethiopia's artists, who will enthrall the audience with their dance style. Similarly, Bengal's specially-called cyclist will also entertain the visitors with their amazing presentation.

Sunil Goyal said that apart from these, other artists of circus will also present their own dance and art skills. The two Joker, who are lives of any circus, will also enthrall the audience especially children with their mimicry.

Sunil Goyal said that due to the Govt.’s policy of complete ban of the animals in the circus the business has been badly affected. The government is now issuing orders to shut down the circus business. With close closure, at least 125 families ( with Single Circus Unit), which are attached with the circus will get affected. He said that instead of giving some relief to this entertaining business that has been running for years, it is intent on closing it altogether.

Alankeshver Bhaskar said that in order to deal with any kind of accident, organizers has made full arrangements to ensure safety, Water tankers, sand bags and fire extinguishers have also been kept to prevent any type of incident. Apart from this, CCTVs also have been installed here. He appealed to the people to come to the maximum number to save this profession and keep it alive.

The Naropa Fellowship is a one-year, fully residential, post-graduate, academic programme focused on creating and nurturing agents of change who will work towards building a sustainable socio-economic environment in Ladakh and the greater Himalayas. It seeks to foster entrepreneurship, retain local talent while preserving the cultural heritage of the region. The fellowship is designed to address the rising challenges of unemployment, lack of training and professional skills, and gradual cultural erosion in Ladakhi and the Himalayan societies. The Naropa campus is located at Hemis, a beautiful village in Leh.

The Naropa Fellowship is inspired by His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa and co-founded by His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche, Spiritual Regent to His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa and Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, the founding dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and the co-founder of Ashoka University, Sonipat.

Child Protection Society Conduct Child Beggar Rescue Drive

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- District Child Protection Society under the aegis of District Magistrate/Collector, Chandigarh Administration organized a Child Beggar rescue drive  at  traffic light points sector 34/35, Elante Mall , traffic lights of Sector 34/ 33/ 22 ,  and near sector  20 Jama Masjid  Chandigarh.

A total of 6 children ( 3 boys and 3 girls )  were rescued in the drive, who  have been provided with temporary shelter  after filing of DDR and medical checkup with orders of Child Welfare committee until further enquiry may be conducted to assess the background of children and their families. Out of 6 children 4 Children have been rescued from the Jama Masjid sector 20 at 2:00 PM under the Category of Child beggary and 2 Children were rescued from the Elante Mall at 8:00 PM. The children were found selling products such as ballons, other items near main gate of Elante Mall.

The District Child Protection Society set up under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) for the implementation the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 and model rules 2016. It was observed during the drives that a number of Children are seen begging and selling alms often accompanied by the adults. District Child Protection Society will organize drives to crackdown on forced child begging and child labour as well in the city. Further various awareness programs are organized by the Society to create public awareness about the Child protection issues.  

The drive was conducted by Tabhsum Khan, District Child Protection officer, Anita Ranjan, Child Protection Officer (Non Institutional),  Irshad , Social Worker &   Anita and Rajesh Outreach Workers from the District Child Protection Society. 

Aarya Babbar is All Set to Hit the Cinemas with His Upcoming Bollywood Movie, ‘Junglam”

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- Aarya Babbar is all set to hit the Cinemas with his upcoming Bollywood movie, ‘Junglam” starring Divya Agarwal, Alia Khan and Vineet Singh alongside. ‘Junglam’ is one interesting and an exotic movie directed by film-maker Pranav Vats. The grand poster release which took place at Barrel and Co, Mumbai left the audience wondering about the genre of movie, which exudes much of a horror speck.

However, considering Arya’s previous projects which are mostly comedy or action, the poster stumps the entire idea.

The shooting of the movie will soon begin in Kerala and the whole project will be shot by Cinematographer, Setu and his expert Photography team from the south.

The poster itself is thrilling enough to make us excited about the movie and the talented cast is another factor to make the release even more awaited.

Rama to Teach Tathacharya a Lesson in Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama

Chandigarh 02^nd May:- Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama continues to captivate the viewers where Rama is seen solving problems using his wittiness in a matter of seconds. In the upcoming track Rama (Krishna Bharadwaj) uses his ingenuity to find out the thug who duped Chakrapaani, an old teacher of Krishnadevaraya. 

Krishnadevaraya (Manav Gohil) refused to help Chakrapaani under the influence of Tathacharya. The King later feels bad and asks Rama to find out the thug. Rama using his wit finds out the thug and puts him in jail. Since it was Tathacharya (Pankaj Berry) who stopped Krishnadevaraya from helping Chakrapaani, Rama devises a plan to teach Tathacharya a lesson. Rama disguises as a fat guy and an old friend of Tathacharya. He meets Tathacharya in the market and gives him a bag of 1000 gold coins in front of everyone. However, when Tathacharya checks it the next day he finds out the bag full of stones. When the disguised Rama returns to take his money, Tathacharya refuses any foul play from his end and Rama goes to the court for justice.

In a conversation with Krishna Bharadwaj a.k.a. Rama said that it was really fun shooting this sequence where Rama disguises as a fat guy just to teach Tathacharya a lesson. It will be exciting to watch how effective will be Rama’s plan and whether Tathacharya will realize his mistake.

PGGC 11 Holds its 65th Annual Prize Giving Function

Chandigarh 02^nd May:- The 65th Annual Prize giving function of PGGC 11 was celebrated with great fervour and zeal. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Secretary Finance, Chandigarh Administration, was the chief guest and RupinderJeet Singh Brar , PCS, Director of higher education, was the guest of honor in the function.

The chief guest gave away prizes to stellar achievers among which 49 students were given Roll of Honor for their distinction in various fields like Academics, NCC, NSS, Cultural Activities, blood donation and Sports. 169 students were awarded College Color for their outstanding performance in Academics, NCC, Sports, Cultural Activities, Blood Donation and efficient supervision of student council. Merit Certificates for Academic Achievements in their respective subjects were awarded to 375 students.

Ajoy Kumar Sinha encouraged the students to enjoy their achievements. He assured on opening of the first of its kind recruitment cell in the college.                        

Rupinderjeet Brar stressed at the importance of education and the role of teachers in nurturing the young minds.

Sanjay Tandon gave special cash prize of 11000rupees to Rohit Kumar (BA3) for his special achievement in NSS and he was also honored with Late. Captain Rohit Kaushal achievement award.

‘Animal Health Camp and Kisan Goshthi’ Held at Khuda Lahora

Chandigarh 02^nd May:- The Animal Husbandry Department U.T. Chandigarh organised an ‘Animal  Health Camp and  Kisan Goshthi’ today at village Khuda Lahora, U.T. Chandigarh on the eve of “Farmers Welfare Day”(Kisan Kalyaan Diwas).

The Camp was presided over by Capt Karnail Singh, Director Animal Husbandry. In his address he appealed the farmers to adopt scientific practices of Animal Husbandry by keeping quality animals to increase their income. He also appealed them to coordinate with Animal Husbandry Department for attaining maximum benefits out of various Govt. Schemes.

On this occasion Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohali, Punjab delivered a key note address on the subject of doubling farmers income through adopting various scientific methods of Animal Husbandry practices. The Veterinary Officers of the department also spoke on various topics like Animal Health Care, Animal Nutrition and Dairy Farming Management and also interacted with livestock owner on the issues concerning them.

Dr Kanwarjit Singh, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry revealed that this program has been organized to promote social harmony, reach out to poor rural households, obtain feedback on ongoing programmes, enrol in new initiatives, focus on doubling farmers income, enhance livelihood opportunities in regard to adoption of latest Animal Husbandry practices in Chandigarh.

Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is celebrating 2^nd May 2018 as “Farmers Welfare Day” for disseminating information regarding interventions relating to development of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries to Farmers, Self Help Groups, Individuals etc for doubling the income of farmers by 2020, through organizing Awareness Camps etc.

The Camp was attended by large number of progressive dairy farmers, self help groups, member of nearby village panchayat and public.

Alumni Meet Held at GGSCW

The event was a great opportunity for the alumni to reconnect with their old friends, batch mates, and teachers. It further provided a platform for the students to share their success stories and continue to strengthen their bond with the College. The Alumni Association created the verve of the days gone by as the alumnus was teary eyed at meeting their teachers and revisiting the campus.

A cultural event was organized for the Alumni, wherein they joined with students in playing games and made the day memorable for them. Dr Jatinder Kaur, Principal of the College graced the occasion.

Dr. Reena Parti, Convener Alumni Association extended the vote of thanks and urged the alumni to form an association that can work towards community service.
