Chandigarh 26th August:- The
Rotaract Club of MCM DAV College organized a two-day Blood Donation Camp in
collaboration with the Rotary Blood Bank Society, Chandigarh. Baldev Aggarwal,
Chairman Rotary Club Chandigarh (Zone-2) inaugurated the camp, other eminent
members of the Rotary Club were also present on the occasion. Dr. Manish Rai,
Director of Rotary Blood Bank resource society appreciated the excellent
response and congratulated the college for their humanitarian endavour.
The camp was conducted under the
guidance of the Convenor Madhu Marwaha, Dr. Harpreet Gill, Dr. Supriya
Chaudhary and Dr. Sunaina Jain. The President of MCM Rotaract Club, Rtr.
Tamanna Rai and Vice President Rtr. Savreet Kaur along-with the student
volunteers of the club participated enthusiastically to make the camp a
success. Their efforts led to an overwhelming response from the students and
faculty members as well.
The Chief Guest Rotarian Baldev
Aggarwal was all praises for the humane and innovative endeavor of the college.
The medical staff of Rotary Blood Bank resource society applauded the value
based education system at MCM for enthusing such sense of responsibility into
the students.
The Principal of the college Dr. Nisha
Bhargava commended the spirited participation and lauded the efforts of the
organizers to initiate a drive to cater to the needs of fellow beings. She
emphasized on the need to recognize and work towards the fulfillment of such
humanitarian causes which helps in shaping the students into dignified and
empathic citizens.
