November:- Aditi
Sajwan and Paresh
Ganatra were recently in Varanasi to interact with their fans and
talk about the latest track of their long running show Chidiyaghar on Sony SAB.
Incidentally, the show is set against the backdrop of the holy city and the
actors were ecstatic to explore the city while they were there. While this was
Aditi Sajwan second visit to Varanasi, it was Paresh Ganatra first time in
Varanasi.
Due to Sharad Purnima there were
several rallies in Varanasi and the actors were informed to leave a
couple of hours prior to the scheduled time of departure. However, they were
stuck in a jam for over an hour due to which they couldn’t catch their evening
flight to Mumbai. Secretly, the actors wished they had more time in their hands
to explore the city on their own and when they missed their flight and they
utilized the opportunity to visit all the popular spots in Varanasi.
Talking about his first time in
Varanasi, Paresh Ganatra said
that while he has been a part of Chidiya Ghar for
five years now. He never got the opportunity to visit Varanasi due to some prior
commitments. So this time, he himself nominated to go for the press meet. While
the meet went well, we missed our flight due to a huge jam that happened because
of Sharad Purnima. He had never seen this kind of traffic even in Mumbai. When
we missed our flight, he immediately connected with localities of Varanasi he
had met in his flight from Mumbai to Varanasi. During our in-flight
conversation, he had expressed a keen interest in showing him around, if he had
the time. Hence, we decided to explore the city with his help. We woke up
at 6am, visited the Ganga Ghats, and ate the chaat and sweets at his shop
near Kashi Vishawanath temple. He told us that today is Sharad Purnima and
Mahadev didn’t want you to leave Varanasi without visiting the temple and this
city. It was destined for him to visit the city and do the darshan on this day.
Aditi
Sajwan said that after we missed the flight, we were scheduled
to catch the afternoon flight to Mumbai the next day. We therefore had the
entire morning to be on our own. We had lassi, food at Taj Heritage, took a
guided darshan to the Ghats early morning. She got Ganga’s water for her father
as he truly believes in the holiness of the water. Chole tikki was a unique
street food item she had in her visit to Varanasi this time. She had the
opportunity to do the darshan of atleast 50 temples which were near about Kashi
Vishawanth Temple. The whole experience was truly exuberant.
