PNB Opens Its First Centralized Loan Processing Centre in Haryana

Chandigarh 03rd August:-Punjab National Bank in line with EASE (Enhanced Access & Service Excellence) initiative of Govt. of India under responsible & responsive banking opened its first Centralized Loan Processing Centre (CLPC) of Haryana at Bank Square, Chandigarh, which was inaugurated by Sunil Mehta, CEO & MD, Punjab National Bank today amidst old and esteemed customers of the bank, PNB’s Branch Heads of all its branches of Chandigarh & Panchkula, other Staff & general public.  The inaugural function was also participated by Alok Srivastava, Zonal Manager, PNB, Chandigarh & Haryana Zone, K.B. Singh, Deputy Zonal Manager, PNB, Chandigarh & Haryana Zone, S.K. Bajaj, Circle Head, PNB, Chandigarh Circle & Senior Officers of PNB.
While speaking on the occasion Sunil Mehta said that under the comprehensive transformation exercise ‘PARIVARTAN’ vision of the bank, the model & frame work for Centralized Loan Processing Centre (CLPC) has been conceptualized at PNB which is in line with the Govt. of India’s EASE Programme wherein the emphasis has been laid on strict segregation of Pre & Post sanction roles & responsibilities for enhanced accountability.  Sunil Mehta further said that credit assessment, lending & monitoring is the significant business activity of the banking industry and in this direction, our bank has created CLPC to ensure improved TAT, Qualitative Credit Assessment and efficient monitoring for enhancing higher productivity in credit dispensation. Sunil Mehta added  that the CLPC will work as an independent support & work outlet comprising of Credit Processing Cell and Credit Monitoring Cell with the prime responsibility of Pre-Sanction Appraisal, Sanction and Effective Post-Sanction follow-up/monitoring of loan accounts above Rs. 50.00 lakh. CLPC will receive the leads from the branch offices linked with it and with CLPC Chandigarh all PNB branches of Chandigarh and Panchkula will be linked. 
Sunil Mehta also visited Institute for Blind, Sector 26, Chandigarh and give away dresses to the students of Blind School under CSR activity of the Bank.  While addressing the school children at a small function organized at the school Shri Mehta assured them of all possible help from PNB for their education as well as other possible requirements.
Sunil Mehta also addressed the Town Hall meeting of PNB Staff and officers at Chandigarh and sensitized & motivated them.  He discussed plan and strategies of the bank and action plan to achieve this within stipulated time period.
Sunil Mehta said that PNB’s customers always have their high faith in their Bank which we shall keep intact with our hard work, best efforts, honesty and sincerity. We will have to put best efforts to reduce NPAs, to increase CASA (Current Accounts, Saving Accounts), improve recovery and to educate our customers about the benefits of digital transactions.
